1. CASH
Cash rewards comprise wages, salaries, commissions, bonuses, performance incentives and any other company perks that form part of a remuneration package. An advantage is that they are all taxed at source by the employer. A disadvantage is that the recipient only sees the end result on their salary slip, and does not remember who may have given the extra income, or how much the original figure actually was before tax.

Companies generally address cash incentives in employees' remuneration packages, often linked to KPA's, PBC's and other performance appraisals within their internal structures.
