In September 2006 we took South Africa's single biggest group of incentive winners to Mexico!
Yes over 400 happy achievers will enjoy the popular Mexican holiday resort of Puerto Vallarta - unique, different, and sought after by international holidaymakers and corporates who want to reward their top achievers.
The trip was meticulously planned for Cancun, but after the devastating effects of hurricane Wilma last year, it was decided to move the group to a 'safer' coast right across the country. And Puert Vallarta is the ideal choice!
Don’t you wish it was you who…..
It's also about those who didn't make it
Johannesburg, Gauteng, 13 July 2006 - You may have suspected it all along, but now someone brave is coming out and saying it. Here it is: there's more to incentive schemes and loyalty programmes than recognising and rewarding the same top 20% that always 'makes it'.
It's also about motivating the vital 70% that always works adequately, and incentivising that segment of the workforce to improve both their individual productivity and the corporate bottom line.
This is the revolutionary position of Creative Incentives, one of South Africa's leading full-service incentive houses.
Using combinations of tailored travel itineraries, lifestyle experiences, merchandise, vouchers and debit cards to meet clients' recognition and reward objectives, Creative Incentives has aligned its philosophy with Jack Welch's innovative vitality model: the '20-70-10' system.
According to this model, the top 20% of any workforce is most productive, while the middle 70% ('the vital 70%') works adequately. The 'vital 70%' may not be visionaries or the most driven members of the company, but they are vital simply because they make up the majority of the group.
To maximise this philosophy, Creative Incentives has a clever trick up its sleeve: subtle repetition.
"I believe that the secret is to offer programmes that are mind-blowing; that have brag value; that are truly memorable - and then repeat them the following year, with small tweaks." says Geoff Saner, MD. "This gives the middle 70% something big to dream about, motivates them to re-assess their own 'best levels' and, at the same time, serves as a tool for enhancing productivity. Imagine the results companies would see reflected in their bottom line, if their middle 70% achieved its maximum potential!"

Is there allure in going local?
Johannesburg, Gauteng, 13 July 2006 - The incentive industry gets more creative every day, with spectacular overseas travel and once-in-a-lifetime experiences becoming the norm rather than the exception. It's no surprise, then, that travel pundits are curious about the way forward. Is local still lekker?
Creative Incentives, one of South Africa's leading full-service incentive houses, believes that locally-tailored travel itineraries can certainly motivate participants to achieve great things for their companies - provided that they are designed with care and closely aligned with participants' profiles.
"We always examine the participants being recognised and rewarded," says Geoff Saner, MD. "Are they less well-travelled and likely to be wowed by a trip to Cape Town? Or are they extremely well-travelled and impressed by exclusive, remote getaways? Participants need to be offered opportunities that are beyond their frames of reference."
Creative Incentives is also convinced that there's more to local incentive travel than just attractive destinations. The promotional activities inherent in the programme and the unique events conceptualised for participants must appeal to the client's winning workforce.
